There are 5 Auto Repair Shops scattered across Averno City, each capable of fully repairing any vehicle, patrol car, or commandeered civilian ride alike, in seconds.

How to Repair a Vehicle

Simply drive through an Auto Repair Shop — no menu, prompt, or stop required. The vehicle's body damage and tire condition are restored instantly on pass-through, making it the quickest way to keep pursuing a suspect without a lengthy detour back to the station.

Auto Repair Shops appear on the map as a distinct wrench icon, visible from a distance once a waypoint marker is set.

• South Shore Auto Repair Shop — near the highway.
• Brookhaven Auto Repair Shop — north of the precinct.

Auto Repair Shop vs Ordering a New Patrol Car

For a standard patrol vehicle, calling in a brand-new car via the radio menu (hold the backup button, select New Patrol Vehicle) is often faster than driving across town to the nearest repair shop, since a replacement spawns immediately nearby.

Auto Repair Shops become the better option specifically for commandeered civilian vehicles or rare vehicles worth keeping — since these can't simply be respawned via radio, driving them through a repair shop is the only way to restore and preserve them after taking damage.

Choosing the Right Shop Mid-Pursuit

During an active chase, selecting the nearest Auto Repair Shop is almost always the better call over a farther one, even if damage is severe — maintaining visual contact with a fleeing suspect matters more than fully repairing before continuing.

Since all five shops repair a vehicle equally and instantly, proximity to the current pursuit is the only factor that matters when choosing between them.
